Valentine Math

DSC00682

During the week before Valentine’s day, we try to do some special Valentine activities. One of them is Valentine Math, using the little boxes of conversation hearts. I like it because they are inexpensive. They each get their own box. Some ideas:

  1. Sort the candies by color
  2. Count each color and write it down.
  3. Line them up (you could even draw a simple graph) and see which color has the most/least.
  4. Count the candies all together
  5. Copy down one of the messages on the hearts
  6. Eat them.
