- Read "Four Fur Feet" by Margaret Wise Brown
- Whenever you hear the words "four fur feet" stomp your feet.
- Make several copies of a bird picture. Use a bird picture to cover the furry animal on each page. Then re-read the story. Instead of "walked" and "four fur feet," use "flew" and "feathery wings." This time, flap your arms whenever you hear "feathery wings."
- Repeat again with snake cards and "slithered" and "dry, rough scales." Wiggle your arms to resemble a snake.
