Dirt

DSC06800DSC06802DSC06803

  • Play in the dirt with dump trucks. We always have an excavation worksite in progress in the backyard.
    1. Find some small shovels, rakes and buckets.
    2. I love the big Tonka type dump trucks and diggers. You can’t go wrong with those if you find them at a garage sale!!
  • Make pudding dirt cups with chocolate pudding, cookies & gummy worms. Click the link for instructions.
  • Talk about dirty vs. clean ... clean hair, clean clothes, taking a bath, washing hands, brushing teeth. Show dirty & clean things.
  • Have the kids help do a load of laundry (clothes go from dirty to clean!)
  • Dirt Bottle
    1. Place soil in a clean 2-liter pop bottle with the label removed. Fill it about 1/4 full.
    2. Add water to about 3/4 full.
    3. Use hot glue to secure the lid.
    4. Shake it up, then watch it settle.
